Sire
Our foundation sire was "Argyll of Trossachs", (b. September 2004). His sire is Coirneal of Trelissick and his dam is Suzie MacKenzie of Trossachs. In January 2008 we made the very difficult decision to trade-in this very docile chap on a new sire.
Our new herd sire is Percy Montgomery of Trossachs (b. August 2007). His sire is Hector of Mathoura, an imported Australian champion bull, and his Dam is Mull of Trossachs. To ensure that only the best characteristics of the sire are perpetuated only 2 Hector sired bull calves were kept entire in 2007. This makes Percy and his half brother elite carriers of the Hector genetics.
Until Percy is "up to the job" we have the use of Black Watch of Trossachs.
